I visited Blown Away salon in Blue Ridge in September, staffed with graduates of the nearby Serenity Spa, and enjoyed the service! Rhonda Kirkland was my stylist at this newly established beauty bar, and she is a no-nonsense professional in haircare with over fifteen years’ experience as a licensed, master cosmetologist. Rhonda provided me with hair color, a cut and a Brazilian Blow out, all efficiently and pleasantly performed. The salon is nicely appointed, with a coffee bar and snacks offered to clients and as Rhonda pointed out to me, it is spacious, and you have an alcove just for you and your stylist with a large mirror, lovely cabinetry, and personal touches befitting each stylist. Rhonda is an animal lover with homey photos of her pets populating her alcove where she will perform your service! She also proudly displays her license and a certificate for providing the Brazilian Blowout hair smoothing system. Services are reasonably and fairly priced.
Rhonda took the time to explain to me every product used (and I took a bunch), and the color recommendation she made and expertly applied was a fabulous match for the already home colored hair, with a regrowth touchup badly needed. She offered me numerous tips on hair styling and care, all conversationally delivered, and she assured I was comfortable and happy with all the services I elected to enjoy, and the experience generally. Rhonda calls her clients “her girls” and she reports she has many local and loyal clients, but I highly recommend you give her and her salon a call (706-455-9600) if you would enjoy a new or refreshed style, color or just want to feel beautiful for a special occasion! I left feeling wonderful with shiny, smooth tresses!”
